Bhutanese bankers learn financing practices from ESQUIRE

June 26, 2012. As part of the 2-week program organized by the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP), delegates from the Bhutan Development Bank were given a tour of the Esquire group of companies’ offices and an orientation into EFI’s business operations and practices.

The visit to Esquire’s headquarters and to the office it shares with its sales arm Capitalife Lending Inc. was capped off by a brief seminar on the nature and needs of emerging enterprises and how EFI specializes in SME development, given by President and CEO Rajan Uttamchandani.

The delegates from the lone development bank in Bhutan were also given lectures and seminars on best industry practices in the Philippine banking and financing system during visits to other ADFIAP member institutions, including Development Bank of the Philippines, RCBC Savings Corp., SB Corp., and Planters Development Bank.

ADFIAP currently has 127 member-banks and other financial institutions in 44 countries, all engaged in financing development in Asia and the Pacific region.
