June 19, 2012, Dusit Thani Hotel Manila. The Miss World Philippines 2012 Gala Night was a spectacle of Filipino talent and beauty, as well as a chance to support women’s and children’s causes.
Raring to make the Filipina a force to be reckoned with in international pageants, the pre-pageant event paid tribute to and relived the beauty and elegance of a Filipina in a Filipiniana. Filipino fashion and talent were showcased in a parade of twenty-five different Filipiniana creations by 25 Filipino designers, including Veejay Floresca, Edwin Uy and Arielle Agasang . The same designers will also design the gowns for all the candidates on Coronation Night.
The Gala Night, sponsored in part by ESQUIRE Financing Inc. (EFI), also aimed to raise funds for Beauty With a Purpose beneficiaries – PGH Medical Foundation and TULOY Foundation. EFI’s friends, partners and clients trooped to the event to contribute to the Beauty With a Purpose project.
